TMBC LAKE EUFAULA RESULTS

AUGUST 18th 2007

    The Tracker Marine Bass Circuit held its final tournament of the 2007 season August 18th at Lake Eufaula. Forty-seven teams were at the ramp Saturday morning for what most people assumed would be a very hot day of fishing in the month of August. The approaching remnants of Tropical Storm Erin changed everyone's thinking half way through the day with gusty winds and heavy rains. The approaching weather system must have really turned the fishing on with 172 fish brought to the scales weighing close to 400 pounds.

After all the fish were weighed the Coca-Cola sponsored team of Chuck Drake from Yukon, Ok and Roy Fryer of Broken Arrow, Ok brought a very impressive limit of fish to the scales totaling 18.01 pounds to take first place and the $2,000.00 first prize. They also captured big bass honors and another $470.00 with a 7.05 pound large mouth taken on a crankbait in seven to eight foot of water.

Second place went to the team of Duaine Bridges from Bonham, Tx. and John Harms of Durant, Ok. Their five fish limit weighed in 15.94 pounds with a 5.35 pound kicker fish. They were rewarded with $1,100.00 and a Bass Pro Shop Gift card for second place big bass.

Rounding out the top three places was the team of Luke Palmer and Tammy Palmer from Coalgate, Ok. This new team to the TMBC brought a very solid five fish limit to the scales weighing 14.79 pounds, and taking home $750.00.

The staff of Backyard Bassin Team Tournament Trails would like to thank The city of Eufaula for granting us a tournament permit on short notice after the Summer floods forced us to re-schedule this event for safety reasons. We would also like to thank Monty and Annette Bollinger from A&M Baits for all of their help this weekend.

This tournament also decided the final Angler of The Year standings. Congratulations go out to George Taylor of Noble, Ok. and George Coffman from Marlow, Ok. These two anglers were consistent all year long with one 1st place finish and two top five finishes. Both of these anglers wanted to thank their sponsors for all of their help this season: Dr. Travis Ortega (Advanced Audiologist) ~ Fowler Honda ~ Ross Transportation.
