Lake Sardis Results

June 28th 2008

Backyard Bassin tournament anglers headed to Lake Sardis in southeastern Oklahoma for the fourth stop of this regional fishing trail. Southerly winds and warm temperatures greeted the 58 teams Saturday morning before the take-off.

The team of Lovelace and Mason topped all other competitors this day. The four fish limit pushed the scales to 19.73 pounds! With two fish in their bag over seven pounds and the biggest weighing in at 8.34 pounds to take big bass honors, it was easy to see why this team finished on top. They took home $3,080.00 for the hard work Saturday.

Second place went to the team of Rayburn and Cooley. This team has already won the first event of the season, and came real close at this event. Their five fish limit anchored by a 6.37 pound kicker fish sent the scales to 19.44 pounds. They took home $1,350.00 for the day.

Rounding out the top three places was Lance Houston. Lance always does good on Lake Sardis and proved that again this tournament. The five fish limit featuring a 6.57 pound kicker fish weighed in at 18.88 pounds, earning him a $850.00 payday.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our last stop of the season July 19th at Lake Eufaula.
