Lake Eufaula Results
July 20th 2008
Backyard Bassin Team Tournament Trails held their last regular event of the 2008 Spring/Summer trail on Lake Eufaula Saturday July 20th. Classic Summer time conditions prevailed with warm weather and warm water temperatures. Sure-Life labs provided Catch and Release sample bottles to help sustain the fish through weigh in.
First place went to the team of Mike Kilhoffer from McAlester, OK and Rick Kelly of Checotah, OK. This AandM Baits sponsored team brought in one of the 30 five fish limits for the day. Their fish pushed the scales to 17.20 pounds and earned them $2,100.00 for their day of fishing.
Second place honors went to Red Rutherford of Durant, Ok and Joe Copeland from Roff, OK. They brought another five fish limit to the scales weighing in at 15.40 pounds. Their weight was anchored by a 5.58 pound kicker fish which won big bass honors for the tournament. This brought their total winnings to $1,570.00.
Roy Hartman and Devon Hartman of Lone Grove, OK rounded out the top three teams with another five fish limit weighing 15.25 pounds. This father son fishing team won $800.00 at Lake Eufaula.
