Lake Murray

The Backyard Bassin Fall / Winter trail kicked off it's third year on beautiful Lake Murray Sunday morning November 2nd. Thirty teams showed up to fish and the weather was more than cooperative. A light fog greeted the anglers as they headed out just before daylight, and the temperatures were very pleasant.

A new team to the BYB trail took first place honors. The Mitchell's from Ratliff City, OK had a five fish limit that pushed the scales to 10.10 pounds. This husband and wife duo took home $1,000.00 for their efforts.

The Marietta, OK team of McMillin and Sanders took send place honors with 9.65 pounds. The four fish they brought to the BYB stage was anchored by a 5.79 largemouth to also gave them big bass for the tournament. This team took home $800.00 for the weekend.

Rounding out the top three places was the Oklahoma City, OK team of Priddy and Terell. The five fish limit they brought to the scales weighed 9.17 pounds. They won $300.00 at this tournament stop.

The next BYB Fall / Winter Trail event will be November 30th on Lake Texoma. We will be launching out of The Alberta Creek Resort. We will be following the same format. You can get on the water at 5:00 am with the first cast at 6:00 am. The BYB staff will be at Alberta Creek at 4:00 am accepting entries on November 30th. All pre entries DO NOT have to check in at the ramp. You may launch your boat at any ramp on Lake Texoma. Remember to pick your weigh slip up at the BYB trailer before 3:00 pm.
