2008 Fall / Winter Trail
ARBUCKLE LAKE
The BYB Fall / Winter trail held it's third stop of the season Sunday December 14th on Arbuckle Lake. We had 24 teams show up to find warm temperatures on a December morning. The temperature at safe light was in the mid 50's warming to a nice 76 degrees at weigh in.
First place went to Bobby Austin and Brad Hill of Ardmore, OK. This strong southern Oklahoma team brought a five fish limit to the scales weighing 17.09 lbs. anchored by a nice 5.41lb kicker fish. The team earned $900.00 for the day. Congratulations.
Wayne Brown and Larry Wood of Ardmore, OK took home second place honors at Arbuckle. Their five fish limit pushed the scales to 16.35 lbs. anchored by a 5.56lb large mouth. They earned $450.00 for the tournament.
Third Place went to J D Kent from Colbert, OK and Roy Hartman from Lone Grove, OK. Roy and J D brought five fish to the scales weighing 13.90 lbs. anchored by the tournament big bass of 7.43 lbs. Big Bass and 3rd place honors earned them $440.00 for the tournament.
All of the anglers were treated to home made stew and cold drinks during the weigh in. Our next stop will be December 28th on Lake Texoma. The times have all been adjusted one hour. Registration will begin at 5:00 am Sunday morning with boat launch at 6:00 am and first cast starting at 7:00 am. All teams must pick up their weigh in slips before 3:00 pm.
