Lake Texoma #2 Results

The Backyard Bassin Spring/Summer Tournament Trail held their final regular season event of the season Sunday June 28th 2009. The tournament was held out of the Alberta Creek Resort and Marina on Lake Texoma. Fifty teams launched out on a very warm and balmy morning for fishing.

The first place team of Gene Robertson and Don McFarlin brought a hefty five fish limit to the weigh in stage topping all other teams. Their winning weight of 16.20 pounds paid them $2,500.00 for the day. Congratulations guys!
Second place went to Adam Cole and Mitch Webb. The 15.76 pound five fish limit of big black bass earned this duo $1,200.00. They also took home the 2009 Angler of The Year honors jumping into first place all the way from fourth.
Third place went to Jay Fuller and Tim Cline. They brought a five fish limit to the scales weighing 13.78 pounds. This team earned $700.00 for their efforts.
Big Bass honors went to Jerry McElhaney and Dale Scott. The 5.86 pound black bass earned them an extra $500.00 to go with their fourth place finish.
Denalli Custom Rods sponsored a flipping contest with all of the donations from the contest being donated to the "Road Race 2 A Cure" Cancer Run. This is an event being held in conjunction with Relay for Life. Lance Hartman was this contest winner taking home a brand new Denalli Rod.
Our next event is scheduled for Sept 19th and 20th on Lake Eufaula. This will be the BYB two day championship. We will be set up at Nichols Point across from the main ramp at Eufaula Cove. Hope to see everyone there. More details coming soon.
